Shiro Architects’ design philosophy centres on creating welcoming buildings, placing emphasis on social utility and incorporating the latest technology within a timeless, modern aesthetic expression.
We aim in our completed work to push frontiers in structural and construction technology, and to accommodate practical, flexible operational requirements for clients.
We aim to deliver buildings as works of sophisticated, working, commercial art, resolving interior design, furnishings, equipment and selected artworks to create a cohesive and successful whole.

Concept:

The planning of our buildings is based on simple and strong concepts.
Plans always focus on business needs and on satisfying the needs of visitors to a centre.

Economical building design:

Construction methods are integrated into Shiro Architects’ designs from the beginning.
Designs are driven by needs to minimise energy consumption.

Technological:

We aim to create long-span, column-free, flexible interiors which integrate mechanical services within the depth of structural floors.

Aesthetic:

We follow principles of modern architecture.
We consider that short-lived fashions and unnecessarily decorative styling are to be avoided.
Aesthetic and physical durability predominates.
Modern technology will give us the tools to create enjoyable and compelling architectural spaces.

Planning:

The aim of our architecture must not be limited to achieving design goals for an individual building, however excellent it may be, but to planning for the overall environment in which it stands.
